ST. PAUL’S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
Proceeds from the Spring 2023 Hospital Home Lottery will support the upgrade of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scanner at St. Paul’s Hospital. This state-of-the art upgrade will have an immediate positive impact on patient care by significantly reducing patient exam times, allowing more patients to be served and helping to address the current wait list for service.
Diagnostic imaging is a constantly advancing field, and the newest generation of MRI technological upgrades are a big leap forward; upgrading our current scanner will allow patients to have the most accurate diagnosis and best possible treatment options during their hospital visit.
SASKATOON CITY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
Diagnostics is a major part of services at Saskatoon City Hospital. Your support will enhance diagnostics in Medical Imaging and Pathology. Medical Imaging is a crucial stop for patients before continuing to other appointments, inpatients with arising issues, or patients in emergency. Upgrading technology means safer, faster imaging with greater resolution. This allows for better treatment decisions.
Pathologists in the Anatomic Pathology Lab want Saskatoon City Hospital to be the provincial flagship for digital pathology. This requires new software, slide imagers and other specialized equipment. Digital pathology means specimen slides can be transferred electronically, speeding up the time it takes pathologists to examine and diagnose. Digitized slides allow pathologists to consult with peers, mentors, and experts across the continent, assuring the quality of diagnoses.
ROYAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
Many of the most serious and complex surgeries involving the heart, brain, spine, and cancers, to name a few, are performed on patients from across the province at Royal University Hospital. These very difficult procedures often require a surgical team of between 8 to 12 highly skilled professionals, a lot of specialized equipment, and take many hours to complete.
Proceeds will help purchase the newest and most advanced surgical equipment available and fund other enhancements to the operating rooms. Your support will transform surgical care at RUH enabling it to continue meeting and even exceeding the evolving standards of excellence demanded by modern medicine and that patients deserve here in Saskatchewan now and well into the future.
